She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Wild and Anna Wild (Maroni); her husband George Edward Haapala; her children, Michael Haapala, Marie Hendrickson and Keith Haapala; her sister Sheila Morrison (James); and her daughter-in-law Patricia Haapala.
She is survived by: her children, Anna Simonson (David) of Outlook, Saskatchewan, Maxine Ylioja (Clayton) of Birsay, David Haapala of Laduc, Alberta, Peter Haapala (MaryJane) of Menahga, MN, Tim Haapala (Mary) of Menahga, MN, Karen Skoog (Elmer) of Wadell, AZ, Philip Haapala of Menahga, MN, Yvonne Skoog (Jim) of Menahga, MN, Lawrence Haapala (Deb) of Menahga, MN and Diane Skoog (Steve) of Menahga, MN; her sister Ruth Cardinal; her sister-in-law Estelle Haapala; and her son-in-law Russell Hendrickson of Menahga, MN. She is also survived by 55 grandchildren, 247 great-grandchildren, and 34 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Runeberg Apostolic Lutheran Church (10182 Co Hwy 49, Menahga, MN 56464). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
