He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Sunderman and Anna Sunderman (Volbert); his wife Dorine Gieske of Mary's Catholic Church; his siblings, Hubert, Harry, Roman Sunderman and Delores Bromen; and his siblings-in-law, Margie Sunderman, Mary Sunderman, Delores Sunderman, Aurelia Sunderman, Ruth Ann Gieske, Louise Gieske, Jerry Bromen, Pete Gieske, Chuck Gieske, Joe Goerdt and Dick Nathe.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Sunderman (Mary) of St. Joseph, Mark Sunderman (Karen) of Melrose and Kay Rolfes (Phil) of Albany; his brother Bernie of Isle; and his siblings-in-law, Marian Goerdt of Melrose, Joannie Nathe of Anoka, Char Gieske of Anoka and Jim Gieske of Melrose. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
