She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Barten and Cecilia Barten (Deters); her husband Urban Spanier; her siblings, Odelia Dahlheimer, Lucille Spanier, Sinderman, Alfred Barten (Monica), Dick Barten (Virginia) and Ray Barten (Mary Ann); her siblings-in-law, Margaret Heinen (Al), Rita Thiegs (Jim), Math Spanier (Alexia), Leo Spanier, Andrew Spanier (Mildred), Wilfred Arens and Len Keller; and her daughter-in-law Sandy Spanier (Kuhlmann).
She is survived by: her children, Tim Spanier (Mamoeletsi) of St. Paul, Ted Spanier (Deb) of Sauk Centre, Tama Spanier of Sauk Centre, Todd Spanier (Patty) of Andover, Terence Spanier (Jen) of Oak Grove and Tobias Spanier (Diane) of Spicer; her siblings, Donald Barten of St. Francis, Elverna Keller of Sauk Rapids, Doris Arens of Sauk Centre and Janice Miller (Phil) of Sauk Centre; and her brother-in-law Doug Dahlheimer of Alexandria. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
