She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Dickhaus and Bertha Dickhaus (Herzog); her husband Ralph Ahrens; her son Karl Ahrens; and her siblings, Irene Poepping, Alma Frieler, Helen Blommel, Marie Hinnenkamp, Henry Dickhaus, Alcuin Dickhaus and Vernon Dickhaus.
She is survived by: her children, Allan Ahrens (Leah) of Sauk Centre, Mary Frieler (Roger) of Yankton, SD, Henry Ahrens (Jan) of Melrose, Philip Ahrens (Rebecca) of Paynesville, Jeff Ahrens (Wanda) of Greenwald and Michele Winter of Rockville; her sisters, Corrine Shay of Chesterton and Karen Callahan (John) of Coon Rapids; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Dickhaus of Melrose and Rosie Dickhaus of Melrose. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren.
