He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Ludwig and Barbara Ludwig (Mergen); his wife LaVonne Ludwig; his sons, Mark Evens and Ned Evens; and his brothers, Peter Ludwig and Robert Ludwig.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Carla Bodeker of Melrose, Eric Evens (Kay) of Brooklyn Park and Jonel Walz (Bruce) of Melrose; and his siblings, Herbert Ludwig, Anita Guiliani and Tina Zipae. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
