With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Schad of Melrose, Minnesota, born in Annandale, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lano and Josephine Lano (Stifter); her husband Bernard "Bernie" Schad; her son Christian; and her brother Harry "Pete" Lano.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Schaefer-O'Brien (Matt) of Richmond, Joe Schad of Maple Grove, Mike Schad of Burtrum and Patrick Schad of Melrose; her grandchildren, Ben Schaefer (Lane) of Sauk Centre, Jillian Megge (J. J.) of South Lyon, Jon Schaefer (Dana) of Big Lake, Joey Schaefer (Jenna) of St. Cloud, Tucker Landis of Bloomington, Samantha Schad of Maple Grove, Gracie Schad and Logan Schad of Melrose; and her great grandchildren, Everett, Edison, Sullivan Schaefer, Jordan Schaefer, Kenzie, Tyler, Kayla and Trevor Leebens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
