She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Buttweiler and Beata Buttweiler (Hofmann); her husband Leo Schanhaar; her siblings, Eugene Buttweiler, Paul Buttweiler, Jr. and Aurea Goerger; and her close friend David Bergmann.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Rose (John) of Melrose, MN, Paul Schanhaar (Marilyn) of Deer River, MN, Mary Kay Welle (John) of Granger, IN, Tom Schanhaar (Deb Knutson) of Rosemount, MN and Sara Hoeschen (Paul) of Sauk Centre, MN; and her sister Shirley Albers of St. Cloud, MN.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
