He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Terhaar and Katherine Terhaar (Schoenberg); his sister Esther Westermeyer; his brothers-in-law, Jerome Soenneker and Richard Westermeyer; and his nephews, James "Jimmy" Westermeyer and Gary Terhaar.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ray Terhaar (Marilyn) of Mora, Jerome Terhaar (Valeria) of St. Cloud, Alice Soenneker of Melrose, Joseph Terhaar (Donna) of Villard and John Terhaar of Melrose; and his aunts, Tina Schoenberg of Indianapolis and Marlene Jansen (Daniel) of Milaca. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
