He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Westendorf; and his siblings, S. F., Bernard "Ben" Westendorf, Mary Petermeier, Ann Lahr, Loretta Johnson, Rose Wiechman and Joe Westendorf.
He is survived by: his son Dean Westendorf of Burnsville; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Ross and Leah Westendorf; and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey and Matthew Westendorf Hermie.
