He is survived by: his brother Tom Akason of West Fargo, ND; his nieces, Lisa Farquhar (Dave) of Casselton, ND and Leslie Schellack of Dilworth, MN; and his close friend Marlys Sawyer of Bemidji, MN.. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
