He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Gangl and Hilda Gangl (Eiynck); his wife Valeria Gangl; his son William Gangl; his close friend Loretta Pfeifer; and his siblings, Sally, Dan, Don, Melvin, Issy, Hannah, Herman, Angie, Fron and Loretta.
He is survived by: his daughter Joyce Kaiser (Doug) of Long Prairie; his grandchildren, Kelsey Kaiser, Taylor Kaiser (Amber) and Austin Kaiser (Jessie); his great grandchild Charlie; and his sisters, Marti Doetkott (Roger) of Melrose, Ida Finken of Melrose and Luella Noren (Jim) of St. Paul. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
