With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dorothy Carstens of Melrose, Minnesota, born in Lake George, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Dorothy left this world on June 1, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Breitbach and Nellie Breitbach (Underwood); her husband Howard Carstens of Paul's Catholic Church; and her siblings, Donald, Harold, Edward Breitbach and Anna Marie Schwieters.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Carstens of Fair Oaks, Wayne Carstens (Jeannie) of Hawaii, James "Jim" Carstens (Brenda) of Melrose and Kim Piehl (Tim) of Baxter; and her sister-in-law Rosemary "Honey" Breitbach of Brainerd. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Eagles Healing Nest in Sauk Centre.
