He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Aubrey Wensmann; his siblings, Mildred Winkels, Rose Mary Steffens, Jerome, Herbert, LeRoy Wensmann, Marian Brisk, Marcella Bueckers, Donald Wensmann and Veronica Smude; and his siblings-in-law, Rita Wensmann, Mary Ann Birr, Beatrice Wensmann, Al Bueckers, Paul Winkels, Butch Smude, Bernard Roering and Roger Steffens.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Wensmann (Zierden) of Melrose; his children, Bernice Koester (Merlin) of Upsala, Janice Brenner (Rick) of Avon, Kevin Wensmann (Karen) of Melrose and Keith Wensmann (Brooke) of Melrose; his sister Kathleen "Dorothy" Roering of Melrose; and his brother-in-law Bernard Brisk of Pierz. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
