He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nick Kern and Mary Kern (Voegele); his children, Jerome Kern (Lorinda) of West Concord, Marilyn Kern (Trish Moudry) of Mendota Heights, Darold Kern (Bonnie) of Colorado Springs, CO, Barbara DeMars (Alcid) of Apple Valley, Allen Kern (Bonita) of Faribault and Carol Olson (Mal Galusha) of Faribault; his wife Doris M. Schuler; and his grandson Adam. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
