He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Clara; his sister Marge Beeman; his siblings-in-law, Reuben Krause, Dave Beeman, Gordy Sommer and Judy Arndt; and his nephew Mike Filzen.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Arndt; his children, Dennis James (Lee Gaines) of Owatonna, Dean James (Jennie) of Charlottesville, VA, Diane James of Medford and Denise James-Green (Mark) of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Gavin Greene (Moriah Burdick), Lainie Greene (Justin Frye), Jessica Hamilton (Will), Jacob James, Emma James, Nathan James, Kaila Kirlin (Jack), Kiara James, Stephanie Fox (Ben), Amy Alexander, Scott Green and Adam Green; his sisters, Elaine Krause and Marlys Sommer; and his brothers-in-law, David Arndt and Darold Arndt (Irene). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Croix Hospice.
