He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Purkat and Ann Purkat (Grahek); his wife Jane E. Spohn; his son Jan; his granddaughter Jennifer; his granddaughter-in-law Theresa; and his siblings, Cyril, Rosemary Prosen and Jeanette Korsman.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel (Sheila), David, Jarad, Dennis (Lisa), Michael, JaNeen and Joe; his daughter-in-law Patsy Purkat; and his sister Marge Walling. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
