He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyall Berg and Marie Berg (Marzinske); his wife Elaine Sable; his son Dean; his grandson Trevor Dettmer; his siblings, Barb Grunwald, Stan, Robert and Bill Berg; his in-laws, Fred and Irene Sable; and his brother-in-law Duane Klein.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Poncelet (Bob) of Mazeppa, Dennis Berg (Colleen) of Mazeppa, DeAnn Horsman (Mike) of Mazeppa, Debbie Dettmer (Dan) of Zumbro Falls, Delane Liffrig (Jon) of Mazeppa and Daryl Berg of Rochester; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Berg of New Richland, Sylvia Berg of New Richland, Evelyn Berg of New Ulm, Doris Klein of Mazeppa, Dennis Grunwald of Ellendale and Harold Sable (Linda) of Red Wing. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
