He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Heimer and Julia Heimer (Goergen); and his siblings, Robert, William, Melvin, Herbert, Clement Heimer, Elizabeth Walsh, Mary Thome, Helen Hemann and Agnes Heimer.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Lunde; his children, Todd Heimer (Dawn) and Kari Kust (Dan); and his grandchildren, Kristen Eastlund (Zach), Gala, Hans Heimer, Kai, Nils Kust, Leif and Henrik Eastlund. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to The Wounded Warrior Project, Donor Care Center, PO Box 758541, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8541 or to the donors' favorite charity for veterans.
