He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Arends and Wilhelmina Arends (Merhoff); his wife Gladys Aalderks; and his granddaughter Samantha Arends. He is survived by: his children, Greg Arends (Carla) of Fergus Falls and Stacey Sik (Mark Brown) of Maynard; his grandchildren, Mitchell Arends, Steven Williams and Cassie Jackson; his great grandchild Colton Arends; and his brothers, Alfred Arends (Pat) and Wayne Arends (Judy).
