He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Deutz and Augusta Deutz (Sarazyn); his granddaughter Sophia Deutz; and his siblings, Ramona Driggs, John Deutz, Audrey Blair, Ted Deutz, Jim Deutz, Pat Deutz, Peggy Porter, Gary Deutz, Deanna Poor and Paul Deutz.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Deutz (Stassen); his son Craig Deutz (Lynn Zurn) of Marshall; his grandchildren, Logan and Isabelle; his daughter Shari Troje (Andy); his grandchildren, Kalvin and Macy; his siblings, Laura Duthoy (Dick) of Maryland and Dan Deutz (Katie) of Lake Benton; and his in-laws, Marlys Deutz, Armella Deutz, Rosie Deutz and Curt Porter.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Horvath Remembrance Center (404 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258). A Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (503 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery - Marshall Hwy (1157 E Main St, Marshall, MN 56258).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and School.
