With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sophia A. Devos of Marshall, Minnesota, who passed away on January 20, 2021 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sophia A. Devos to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alois Thooft and Svenina Thooft (Larson); her husband James Joseph DeVos; her son Joseph; her son-in-law Jeff Gilbertson; and her siblings, Henry, Alvin, Julius, Oscar and Emma.
She is survived by: her children, Priscilla Hughes (Don) of Lake Benton, Brenda Vander Sluis of Sartell, Beverly Sommervold (Dan) of Mankato and Janine Matzke (Paul) of North Mankato; and her siblings, Alfred Thooft and Doris Vermiere. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be sent to The Arco Sportsman's Club, St. Dionysius Cemetery Fund or the donor's choice.
