She was predeceased by: her parents, Chris Harkema and Sophia Harkema (Wiese); her husband Duane "Hank" Hankins; her son Duane Dale Hankins; her children-in-law, Cheryl Hankins and David Garland; and her siblings-in-law, Eddie Wieme, Sheldon Dean and Jan Harkema.
She is survived by: her children, Doreen Garland of Marshall, Donald Hankins (Cindi) of Lynd and Donna Hankins (Mike Phillippe) of Marshall; her daughter-in-law Jean Stassen of Fergus Falls; her grandchildren, Chrissy Hook (Randy), Raymond Hankins, Ashley Hankins and Rebecca "Becky" Hankins; her great grandchildren, Aubrey, Ripley, Reese, Cadyn, Malachi, Sofia and Chloe; and her siblings, Betty Wieme of Pipestone, Larry Harkema of Pipestone, Cary Harkema (Connie) of Pipestone and Judy Dean of Slayton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home (701 Jewett St, Marshall, MN 56258). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Russell Cemetery (Minneapolis, MN).
