He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Torkelson and Ida Torkelson (Rood); his siblings, Alfred, Norval Torkelson, Clarice Erickson, Thelma Thompson, Amy Fedje and Valborg Torkelson; his niece Carol Cosgrove (Erickson); his nephews, Luther Thompson, Paul Thompson and Paul Becker; and his great-nephews, Levi Torkelson and Daniel Strenge.
He is survived by: his sisters, Marie Braaten of Forman, ND and Louise Becker of Warren, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
