He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Michalson and Lenora Michalson (Rewerts); and his wife Mary Lou. He is survived by: his children, Dennis (Jan Michelson), Mark Michelson (Joseph Saavedra), Chuck (Judy Michelson), Jackie (Jan Zimmerman), Lynette Dickson, Jeff (Michelle Michelson) and Steve (Julie Michelson). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cottonwood in Mike's name.
