He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Marks and Louise Marks (Tanghe). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Pearcy of Marshall, MN; his children, David Marks (Rebecca) of St. Paul, MN, Daniel Marks (Kitsi) of Marshall, MN, Lisa Van Overbeke (Dwight) of Sioux Falls, SD and Brian Marks (Patti) of Cottage Grove, MN; and his siblings, Robert Marks (Marcia) of New Hope, MN, Sharon Pierskalla (Allan) of Brooklyn Center, MN, Bruce Marks (Paulette) of Marshall, Dennis Marks (Susan) of Shakopee, MN, Melanie Larson (Mark) of Dawson, MN and Janelle Kennedy of Madison, MN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Horvath Remembrance Center (404 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (503 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258).
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Prairie Home Hospice of Marshall or the National Alzheimer's Association.
