He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Liala (Aune) and George Abel, Sr.; his wife Bette Jane DeAustin; his children, Alyssia Coudron (Andy) and Jameson Abel (Breanna); his aunt Barb Verkinderen; his siblings, Shirley Quail, Cindy Jolstad, George Abel Jr., Steve Abel (Vickie) and David Abel (Jackie); his siblings-in-law, Brenda Ebbitt, Brad DeAustin (Ellen), Barre DeAustin (Nancy), Ordell Quail, LeRoy Jolstad, Brian VanOverbeke and Barb Abel; his nephew Troy Quail; and his uncles, Lawrence Verkinderen and Oli Aune. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Meeting him in heaven are his parents; brothers-in-law, Ordell Quail, LeRoy Jolstad, Brian VanOverbeke; sister-in-law, Barb Abel; nephew, Troy Quail; uncles, Lawrence Verkinderen, Oli Aune; and a whole pack of beloved dogs and cats.
