He was predeceased by: his parents, Lottie Gruhot (Przymus) and Max Gruhot; his son-in-law Lowell Johnson; his siblings, Maxine St. Aubin, Leonard, David, Elmer and Edwin; and his siblings-in-law, Louis St. Aubin, Algene Hoffman, Ken Berndt, Lorraine Gruhot, Sharon Gruhot and Cathy Gruhot.
He is survived by: his former spouse Hermandina Lamote; his wife Dina of Marshall; his children, Sandra Hagberg (Robert), Gloria Vandelanotte (Allen) of Cottonwood, MN, Joan Johnson of Marshall, MN, Jim Gruhot (Ellen) of St. Peter, MN, Nancy Emblom (John) of Miltona, MN and Janel Venekamp (Kyle) of Marshall, MN; his grandchildren, Jordan Iverson (Ashley Reynaga), Carter Iverson, Whitney Jeseritz (Tyler), Sara Iverson (Tony), Lukas Vandelanotte (Samantha), Ashley Johnson (Jordan Buysse), Lee Gilb (Jessica), Ron Gilb (Brittany), Faren Nygaard, Tyler Venekamp and Maxx Venekamp; his sister Darlene Berndt (Joe Goblish); and his sister-in-law Marjo Gruhot.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Horvath Remembrance Center (404 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (503 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258).
