He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hammer and Christine Hammer (Goodmundson); his sister Doris Guptill; and his daughter-in-law Sue Hammer. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Nelson of Minneota; and his children, Katie Deutz (Dan) of Lake Benton, Jeff Hammer (Mona) of Minneota, Todd Hammer (Hilary DeVlaeminck) of Minneota, Jean Sik (Ron) of Mankato, Gretchen Buysse (Dennis) of Minneota and Matthew Hammer (Dan Kirlin) of Garden City. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
