She was predeceased by: her parents, Matt Bernardy and Mary Ann Bernardy (Wittry); her husband Ernest Thooft of Mary's Catholic Church; her daughter Mary Christine; her siblings, Jean, Jerome, James and Robert; and her brothers-in-law, Tom Chapman and Raymond Thooft.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Thooft (Shirley) of Luverne, MN, Jerome Thooft of Moose Lake, MN and Douglas Thooft (Brenda) of Welch, MN.; and her siblings, Patricia Goblish (Gerald) of Kerkhoven, MN, Marlene Heiling (Gerald) of Green Valley, AZ, Mary Jo Pohlen (Frank) of Janesville, MN, Linda Chapman of Prior Lake, MN, Tom Bernardy of Seaforth, MN and Ron Bernardy (Lynette) of Olivia, MN.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Horvath Remembrance Center (404 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258). A Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Eloi Catholic Church (308 W McQuestion St, Ghent, MN 56239). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery (308 W McQuestion St, Ghent, MN 56239).
