He was predeceased by: his parents, David Forbes and Eunice Forbes (Isfeld); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Forbes and Lloyd Lunder. He is survived by: his wife Colleen; his children, Brett Forbes (Amy), Krissy Hanson (Eric) and Sara Kompelien (Darrin); his grandchildren, Corey, Brenden, Isaac, Lucas Forbes, Brecken, Kendall Hanson, Joshua and Teagen Kompelien; and his siblings, David Forbes Jr., John Forbes (Emmy), Kathryn Lunder and Greg Forbes (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Horvath Funeral Service (404 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Prairie Home Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
