She was predeceased by: her former husband Ward Shepherd of Washington, D. C.; her husband Harvey Nelson; her daughter Mary Elizabeth Shepherd; and her siblings, Theodore, Roy, Wallace (Buck), Shelby, Pearl Krause Watt, Ruth Banwarth and Jean Knipe Hinsvark.
She is survived by: her children, Ole Shepherd of St. James, MN, Wesley Shepherd (Joyce) of Marietta, MN, AnnaMarie Schubert (Dan) of Elizabeth, MN, Kent Shepherd of Marshall, MN and Tina Hawkins (Lane) of Renner, SD; her stepchildren, Doug Nelson (Marilyn) of Gary, SD, Sandy Law (David) of Watertown, SD and Shirley Pederson of Marietta, MN; and her cousin Gardner Washburn. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
