He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius and LaVerne; his brother Joel; his wife Mary Kay; and his brother-in-law Leo.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas (Loni), Jean (Kurt) and Lisa; his grandchildren, Jen (Brian), Alicia (Geof), Angela (Ryan), Amber (Charles), Kathleen (Thomas), Michael and John Patrick (Katie); his great grandchildren, Kyle, Ross, Konnor, Jack, Kaiden, Caelyn, Chloe, Amara, Levi, Cameron, Ivy and Lena Jo; his siblings, Bob (Nancy) and MaryAnn (Randy); and his sisters-in-law, Patty (Chuck), Beth (Wayne) and Loreese. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

As an alternative to flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of the Midwest through the BrightSpring Hospice Foundation.
