She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Cullinan and Margaret Cullinan; her son-in-law Greg Scharffbillig; her husband Robert Shanley; and her child East.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Jungbauer (Steve), Patricia Shanley, Michael Shanley, Colleen Singh (Ron), Robert Shanley (Cristin) and Kathleen Scharffbillig (Ron Rose). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
