He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Willmar and Judith Swenson (Walstrom); his father-in-law Chuck Richardson; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Olson and Bernie Kieselbach.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Richardson of Maplewood, MN; his children, Greg Swenson (Angela) of Maplewood, MN, Sheila Brown (Rob) of North Port, FL, Amanda Weisgram (Sam) of Pierre, SD and Doug Swenson of Champlin, MN; his grandchildren, Megan, Sara (Ryan Brown), Anja (Liam Swenson), Blake and Brock (Brielle Weisgram); his great grandchildren, Gannon, Gatlin and Grayden; his sisters, Sandy Olson of Barnesville, MN and Judy McNall of Mill Creek, WA; and his mother-in-law Maxine Richardson of West Fargo, ND. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
