She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gorden Martin and Verna Martin; her siblings, Linda Sinn, Gordon Martin and Steve Martin; her husband John; her children, Tammy Gerten (John Van Valkenburg), Michael Gerten and Paul Gerten (Kim Hartz); her siblings-in-law, Jewel Martin, Roger Sinn and Barbara Towey; and her grandchildren, Margaret Van Valkenburg (Drew Silverstein) and Alek Van Valkenburg.
