She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bouwman and Hendrika Bouwman (Boon); her husband Fred Tilstra; and her siblings, Edward Bouwman, Henry Bouwman, Annetta Wiese and Martina Vanden Brink.
She is survived by: her children, Harold Tilstra (Mary) of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Karen Rollag (Craig) of Beaver Creek and Luanne Tilstra (Phillip Smith) of Terre Haute, Indiana; and her siblings, Walter Bouwman (Joan) of Artesia, CA, A. James Bouwman (Esther) of Rock Valley, IA, William Bouwman (Carol) of Rock Valley, John Bouwman (Paula) of Fredericksburg, TX, Edith Hoogendorn (Alvin) of Sioux Falls and Angela Faber of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
