He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Demarais and Doris Demarais (Marquette); his wife Marjie June Demarais (Fenske); his parents-in-law, Wilfred and Erna Fenske; his brothers, Leonard Demarais and Archie Demarais Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Elroy Groehler, Tom Hurd, Loren Fenske, Duane Fenske, Carol Demarais and Eunice Groehler (Fenske); and his nephew Dale Demarais (Sandra Wessling).
He is survived by: his children, Jacci Grant (Mike) of Maple Lake, Jacalyn Wurm (Mark) of Maple Lake, Arthur Jurgens (Berenice) of Buffalo, Bret Jurgens (Naomi) of Maple Lake, Chad Jurgens (Megan) of Maple Lake, Holly Latour (Scott) of Maple Lake, Shane Jurgens (Karina) of Maple Lake and Mindy Latour (Brad) of Buffalo; his grandchildren, Jordyn (Derek), Indy, Hazyl, Heather (Matt), Ashley (Mitch), Megan (Paul), Mitchell (Marissa), Deanna, Kristin, Matthew, Chantal, Tasha, Aaden, Anna, Millie, Bri, Taylor, Tristan, Spencer, Sawyer, Brittany, Brandon, Austin, Devin, Kora, Katelyn, Gabriel, Emily, Abigail, Cooper, Bentley and Braelyn; his great grandchildren, Jed, Mason, Ryder, Parker, Avery, Kinsley, Emmett, Evelyn, Barrett, Brianna, Maevyn and Grayson; his siblings, Lee Demarais (Joni) of Chatham Township and Charlotte Zimmerman (Loren) of Howard Lake; and his in-laws, Carol Paur (George) of Bird Island and Eileen Hurd of Hector. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (5460 63rd St NW, Maple Lake, MN 55358).
