He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Rivers and Ruth Rivers (Coan); his granddaughter Ashley; and his sister Barb Dirckx. He is survived by: his wife Karla Rivers; his children, Tina Rivers, David Rivers and Michael Rivers (Jessica); his grandchildren, Tyler, Brady, Saydee, Jericka, Nick and Logan; his sisters, Nancy Murilla (Pete), Michelle Liepold (Tim) and Kathy Jorgenson (Duane Adams); and his brother-in-law Bob Dirckx. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association, American Lung Association, or the Disabled American Veterans.
