She was predeceased by: her parents, John Haefner and Clara Haefner (Scheurer); her daughter Karen Kleist; her grandchildren, Jacob and Laura Schmidt; and her siblings, Ralph, Lester, Walter, Stanley, Denis, Harry, Clair, Eddie, Mary Kudrle, Angie Bruns and Janet Nelson.
She is survived by: her former husband Thomas Schmidt; her husband John Anderson; her children, Randall Schmidt, Denise Olivo and Paula Brooks (Rick); her son-in-law Craig Kleist; her grandchildren, John Schmidt (Cecelia), Luke Schmidt (Teresa), Zach Wesely, Kelly Persons (Nate), Sarah Kleist and Amanda Kleist; her siblings, George Haefner (Anne), Dee Wright and Audrey Mettler (Duane); and her sisters-in-law, Nila Haefner, Phyllis Haefner, Donna Haefner and Jean Haefner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Memorials may be given to the John and Clara Haefner scholarship fund or the donor's choice.
