He is survived by: his wife Sheryl; his daughter Renee Karstens (Kale); his parents, William Reed and Barbara Reed; his sister Jennifer Schermerhorn (Scott); his nieces, Samantha and Sydney; his mother-in-law Betty Berg; his sister Luann; his brother-in-law Steve Hoogestraat; and his nephews, Kyle and Justin.
