He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lemerne Shephard and Wendall Shephard; his wife Rosemary; his sister Patsy; and his children, Sue Matthews (Rick), Patrick Shephard (Bea), Doug Shephard (Regina) and Megan Ries (Jason).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to VINE or SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
