He was predeceased by: his father Harold Strand; and his sister Lori Strand. He is survived by: his mother Vivian Strand (Jones); his close friend Ruth Sanders; his children, Kimberly Ernst, Nathan Strand and Tonia Johnson (Hathaway); and his siblings, Karleen Ulman (Joe) and Gail Caven (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Calvary Lutheran Church, Rapidan.
