It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Maurice Gaarder of Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on September 1, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Gaarder and Velma Gaarder; and his great grandchild Rosemary Sue LeJeune. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Gaarder (Trudi); his sons, Timothy Gaarder (Julia) and Mark Gaarder (Valerie); his grandchildren, Kerianne LeJeune (Andrew), Casey Gaarder (Dai), Connor Gaarder (Kaitlin), Bailey Gaarder, Brittany Deschene (Teddy Trinidad), Katrina Gaarder (Matt Hoehn) and Jeremy Gaarder; his stepgrandchildren, Morgan Boehland (Mark) and Caswell Woosley (Jane); and his sister Marica Moyer. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Mankato Salvation Army.
