He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Bachmann and Rose Bachmann (Allemann); his son Scott Bachmann; his siblings, Marlene Bachmann and Willard Bachmann (Donna); and his brother-in-law Vernon Bloomquist.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Bachmann; his children, Brian Bachmann (Mary) and Cindy Lehman (Dave); his stepchildren, Tim Bartelt and Patty Albers (Greg); and his sister Caroline Bloomquist. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
