He is survived by: his wife Raynell Salfer of North Mankato; his children, Matt Melvin (Calais) of Madison Lake, Erica Melvin of Gaylord, Ana Melvin of St. Peter and Alex Melvin (Kayla Lorentz) of Mankato; his grandchildren, Cassidy Schoener, Jade Melvin, Aurora Lehrke, Aynslee Hellebust, Ezra Melvin and Charleann Melvin; his great grandchildren, Lucas Melvin and Josie Ward; and his siblings, Richard Melvin (Linda), Donna Embree, Lois Palmquist, Mary Ortega (Tito) and Patty Melvin.
