He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Jeff Burkhardt (Jeannette) of Annandale, Melissa Sanvig (Dave) of Fairmont, Greg Burkhardt (Jennifer) of Mankato and Paul Burkhardt (Bridget) of Mankato; his grandchildren, Abigail (Justin Higgins), Ryan Burkhardt, Morgan (Tanner DeWar), Hannah, Connor Sanvig, Megan Dubbels (Joseph), Thomas, Katherine Burkhardt, Anthony, Andrew and Alexander Burkhardt; his great grandchild Kayce DeWar; and his siblings, Dan Burkhardt (Julie), James Burkhardt (Carol), David Burkhardt (Diane) and Elaine Oimoen (Bruce). He is also survived by nieces nephews.
