He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Griffin and Kathleen Margaret Griffin (Phelan); his brothers-in-law, Carl Embacher (Linda) of Mankato, MN and Richard "Dick" Embacher (Irene) of New Ulm, MN; his parents-in-law, Max and Mary Embacher; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Pongratz, Vincent, Jan Embacher, William Embacher, Mary Eileen Embacher and Dianne Embacher.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine (Cross); his daughter Wendee Churchill (Larry) of Duluth, MN; his granddaughters, Lia Churchill of Rochester, MN and Kellen Churchill of Duluth, MN; his great grandchildren, Marcus Cameron and KaMilla Bowman of Duluth, MN; his sisters, Angela Griffin of Minnetonka, MN and Mary Thompson (Dan) of St. Louis, MO; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Pongratz (Embacher). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
