He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Tacheny and Hyacinthe Tacheny (Thier); his wife Delores; his children, Mary Jo, Lori Jean and Douglas Lee; and his siblings, Lorraine Carpenter and Dale Tacheny.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Martinka (Doug) of Bemidji, Robin Tacheny (Sharon) of Andover, Terry Tacheny (Colleen) of Mankato, Karla McAfee (Mike) of Forest Lake, Lisa Killian of Minneapolis and Amy Cutler (Lake Crystal); and his close friends, Lois and Wilson Kobel. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
