She was predeceased by: her parents, Tolford Thompson and Vesta Thompson (Christiansen); her brother Phillip Thompson; and her children, Margaret Hanson and David Hanson.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Benforado (Dean) of Flagstaff, AZ; her grandchildren, Laura Schlachter (Jake) of Madison, WI, Elizabeth Tavasci (Steve) of Cottonwood, AZ, Tyler Hanson of San Diego, CA and Emily Behnke (James) of Edmonton, AB; her great grandchildren, Hartley, Rowan Schlacter and Luca Behnke; her sister Jeanette Haasarud of Phoenix, AZ; and her daughter-in-law Margie Hanson of Lake Oswego, OR..
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Betsy-Tacy Society.
