It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Ann Ahlstrom of Mankato, Minnesota, born in Owatonna, Minnesota, who passed away on August 28, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Hillson and Anna Hillson (Kubista); and her husband Donald Ahlstrom. She is survived by: her children, Sonja Venberg (Dave) of Victoria, MN and Brian Ahlstrom (Akiko) of Akita, Japan; her grandchildren, Kaela Donaldson (Jack) of Denver, CO, Kyle Venberg of La Mirada, CA, Alicia Ahlstrom of Akita and Jonah Ahlstrom of Akita, Japan; and her sister Eileen Anderson (Robert) of Rochester, MN. She is also survived by brother and sister-in-laws; nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
